Despite all of her humanitarian efforts and all of her many accomplishments in the music industry, there’s a darker side to one of your favorite pop stars- a secret side that some believe she has fought for over a decade to keep hidden.

One that many of you might not have ever even known about until now- and that is- that Lady Gaga MURDERED her former friend and collaborator Lina Morgana.

EPISODE 206: IS LADY GAGA A MURDERER? CRACKPOP

Episode Contents:

Being a classically trained pianist and an aspiring performer, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (Lady Gaga) pursued a career in the music industry. When she started out, she played open mic nights and worked with a producer named Rob Fusari.
While working with producer-turned-boyfriend Rob Fusari, Lady Gaga was introduced to another collaborator of his: this young, aspiring pop star named Lina Morgana.
Not much is known about Lina Morgana’s life. Her and Gaga worked together to produce dozens of songs- usually Lina on main vocals and Gaga as a supporting vocalist and songwriter.
After Gaga had been picked up and dropped by one record label, she managed to catch the attention of executives at Interscope records with her newfound persona and alter-ego: Lady Gaga. She released her first single “Just Dance” in April 2008 and began her Fame Ball Tour (playing mostly at gay nightclubs). Just Dance finally entered the Billboard Top 100 in August of 2008.
On October 4, 2008- Lina Morgana plummeted to her death from atop this ten-story-tall hotel in New York. She was only nineteen years old. Coincidentally, Lady Gaga released her second single “Poker Face” just eight days after Lina’s death and within a few months, she had earned herself her first pair of number one singles.
Some, including those closest to Lina, believe that Lady Gaga had something to do with Lina Morgana’s death, while others insist that Lina Morgana made the decision to take her own life by jumping from the Staten Island Hotel.

THEORY 1: LINA MORGANA COMMITTED SUICIDE

This is the full song from the episode. Many point to Lina’s dark and emotional lyricism as proof that she was troubled and had been suffering from depression which led to her suicide.

THEORY 2: IT WAS A TRAGIC ACCIDENT

According to reports, witnesses insisted that prior to her fall, Lina had been spotted either dancing or exercising frantically on the roof of the building… is it possible that this was just a tragic accident and that she slipped and fell to her death?

THEORY 3: LINA MORGANA NEVER EXISTED AT ALL

One theory floating around out there is that Lina Morgana is just a fictional person that Gaga and her team created as a fake news story to cause shock and controversy- a tactic known to be used by Gaga throughout her career. Some believe an actress was hired to pose for photoshoots and music videos, and the most damning evidence in support of this is the near complete erasure of any article mentioning Lina Morgana and/or her death.

THEORY 4: IT WAS SOMEONE FROM GAGA’S TEAM

Many point to the complete silence from Gaga and her team about Lina’s death as proof that they know more than they’re letting on. This theory goes that because Gaga had allegedly stolen Lina’s style and sound, Interscope had to get rid of Morgana to avoid any future confusion, rivalry, or lawsuits.
Message taken directly from Lina’s website which shows her family members believe that someone is responsible for her death.

THEORY 5: GAGA SACRIFICED LINA MORGANA HERSELF

Because she has been linked with the Illuminati since the beginning of her career, some speculate that in order to get her big break, Lady Gaga offered Lina Morgana as a human sacrifice in order to gain admission into the secret society and become one of the biggest pop stars in history.

The official lyrics for the track “Aura” from her album ARTPOP read: “I killed my former and left her in the truck on highway 10.” BUT fans argue that at the 0:10 mark- she either sings “I killed my poor friend” or “I killed my former friend.” Take a listen and decide for yourself!
In Gaga’s 2009 music video for her single “Paparazzi”, she plays a pop star who is literally thrown off of a balcony from a few stories high to her death. The members of the paparazzi continue snapping photographs of the unconscious pop star.
Newspaper articles flash across the screen of the video, but this one in particular has captured conspiracists’ attention. Some argue that this headline (“LADY NO MORE GAGA”) sounds like the name Lina Morgana.

In the above video, Lina’s mother accuses Gaga of stealing Lina’s artistry and offers several side-by-side comparisons between the two singers. Check it out.
